American Propaganda 101 01.24.18

Modern American Propaganda starts when corporate “economic efficiencies” or profits conflict with human interests.  Each industry injects money into politics to create laws that will secure its corporate position in economics.  The best way to break it down is to go through each industry and explain the propaganda and reality in each industry.
 .
Banking Industry:  The propaganda cry is “government is too big and controlling everything we do” and “The government interference with our banking slows markets and hurts economic efficiencies, so keep government out of or backyards and private businesses!”  The reality is corporations need to be regulated and checked by the people, because corporation are created by our state governments.  The banking industry caused the major economic recession.  Banks won America over with its propaganda.  There is no government regulation, allowing banks to accept “stated income” applications for home loans.  Banks packaged risky investments with solid investments, without disclosing it to the public, causing the recession.  Banks used taxpayer dollars for executives to bail themselves out or pay themselves off.  Be sure to use local banks in your community to take back control.
  .
Auto Insurance Industry:  The propaganda cry is “personal injury attorneys are hurting our economy by filing frivolous lawsuits on behalf of lying exaggerators.”  The reality is auto insurance corporations profit more money than ever before and cause cases to be filed in our courts.   The profits from these corporations are reinvested into techniques on how to pay less for a person’s injury claim.  State Farm’s profits are in the billions and regular people cannot get their medical bills paid.  Doctors and engineers are paid on the regular by all the large national insurance corporations to fight legitimate injury claims.  Over 97% of people do good or want to do good, but the insurance corporations are actively trying to paint another picture to increase economic efficiencies or profits.  Please see our firm’s other law blog a.k.a. blawg posts on this ongoing battle between corporations and people.
  .
Health Insurance Industry:  The propaganda cry is “socialized medicine will drain other opportunities for hard-working people and create a new government hurting everyone.”  The reality is America has had socialized forms of health care through state ran medicaid and federal run medicare.  The privatized health insurance industry has made insurance rates expensive to combat the rise of Obamacare.  If we have better healthcare then people will be healthy to pursue their dreams.  The police and fire departments are socialized programs that work.  Schooling is a hybrid of private and public.  A stronger hybrid health system is probably the way to go, so people can have a choice.
  .
Tabacco Industry:  The propaganda cry was “smoking is not bad for you and does not cause cancer.”  The reality has finally become common knowledge that smoking causes cancer.  The tobacco industry lied to the public like the above and below industries for the same reasons, to protect and promote economic efficiencies or profit.  As time goes on, each industry will find the same fate as this industry, because people will wake up and learn about how corporations are so crucial in affecting our every day lives.
  .
Coal, Oil and Natural Gas Industries:  The propaganda cry is, “global warming is a joke, hoax or fraud.”  The reality is global warming is real.  Emissions trap green house gases and increases heat in our atmosphere.  Increased heat causes ice glacier melting and severe natural disasters.  The coal industry is decapitating mountain tops across the U.S. in the thousands, forever changing our landscape and weather patterns.  President Trump has an oil executive from Chevron on his cabinet to secure the industries’ forward push to extract oil from the middle east.  We are fighting there for oil, not freedom.  Former Vice President Dick Cheney allowed his former corporation, Haliburton, to cut out an exception to American water protection laws, so it could perform fracking.  Fracking destroyed underground drinking water for hundreds of Americans, especially those in Colorado.  All of this death and destruction for “economic efficiencies” or profit will stop.  Soon Americans will use sunlight and wind to power their lives.

  .
War Industry:  The propaganda cry is “we need to spread democracy and freedom around the world,” “The cold war,” “War on Drugs,” and “War on Terrorism.”  The reality is preventable death and over spending occurs due to this “industrial war complex.”  Privatized military contractors need money and profits to keep moving forward.  Warring in the middle east also helps the oil industry, so these two corporate heavy weights have common interests.  The documentary “Iraq for Sale: The War Profiteers” by Robert Greenwald does a great job explaining “cost plus contracts” and how it destroys our economy.  You can watch it on Youtube for free.  “Cost plus contracts” are the biggest rip-offs to the American folk.  War is the major cause of our national debt.  No more  war profiteering!!!
  .
Prison Industry:  This industry was made private without people understanding what is going on.  Under no circumstance should prisons be privatized corporations.  The goal of a corporation is increase profits, not help prisoners.  The rise of decreased in quality of living for the prison population is due to money used for profits, not reinvested to promote rehabilitation and education.  Lobbyists will push for stricter laws, because stricter laws keep people in prison.  The more people in prison, the more profits for this industry.  This is a devil created system that must stop!

Corporations are government made legal entities designed to promote economic efficiencies by shielding individuals from personally liability.  There should be laws that allow common folk to pierce the corporate veil to prosecute those people who inject money into politics.  Money in politics promotes corporate lobbying and profits that conflict with peoples’ well-being, liberties and rights.
