A New Reform Increased Corporate Profits At Our Expense
– Do you think, as the doctors claim, that if you give up your rights to full justice that industry will come to your town? Do you think, as the doctors claim, that if you give up your full rights to justice your kids will stay in Nevada? If you give up your rights to full justice, as the doctors ask, do you think your doctor will lower his fee to you? Who do you think pays more for insurance, per dollar earned — you for your health insurance or your doctor for his malpractice insurance? The U.S. General Accounting Office determined the supposed crisis of medical malpractice insurance alleged by American Medical Association, the insurance industry and some politicians was unsubstantiated and that the American public was misled!!!
Profits is what the so-called crisis was about. Wyoming and Washington did not allow caps on damages, and those states’ doctors and insurance companies are making profit. Nevadans fell for the lies, so any unlucky injured victim will suffer from the cap and the insurance companies will make more profits.
At Anthony Paglia Injury Lawyer LTD we strive to work hard for you, so we can get the cap in your case. One day the Nevada Supreme Court will hopefully strike down the cap as unconstitutional, because it violates our equal protection, right to jury trial and due process rights.
